Social media without doomscrolling

Doomscrolling is a feature, not a habit. Remove the feed that drives it and the habit goes with it.

Doomscrolling is not a personal failing. It is the intended outcome of a feed with no end, ranked by whatever keeps you looking longest.

Why willpower loses

Every scroll is a pull on a slot machine. Sometimes it pays out (a funny video, a friend's news), most of the time it does not, and the uncertainty is exactly what keeps your thumb moving. You cannot out-discipline a system designed by thousands of engineers to beat your discipline.

What works

Remove the machine, keep the people. - Feeds that only show people you follow, in order, end. When they end, you leave. - Without Explore or For You, there is nothing to fall into. - Without autoplay and "up next", a video ends and so does the session.

How Feedwise does it

Feedwise opens each platform with those parts hidden. Your friends, your DMs and your subscriptions are still there. The bottomless part is not.

Try it. It's free.

Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat without the feeds. DMs stay.
